XSEED Games has officially launched Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, a remastered edition of Nihon Falcom’s action RPG first released in English in 2010. Now available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, this enhanced version features visual and audio upgrades and new features for the definitive experience of this classic game.
The game follows Adol Christin, the adventurous red-haired hero, and his companion Dogi as they return to Dogi’s homeland of Felghana after eight years. They find the once-prosperous land plagued by monsters, a dangerous volcano, and a tyrannical ruler. While Dogi seeks help from his former mentor, Adol stays to help the locals, uncovering deeper conspiracies tied to ancient legacies.
Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana includes many updates, such as high-definition visuals, newly recorded voice acting for Adol, and three versions of its soundtrack (Original, PC-8801, and X68000). Players can enjoy updated accessibility features, a “Turbo” mode, and the option to switch between new “Refined” character illustrations and the original “Classic” designs.
The digital version costs $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Store. A limited “Refined Edition” physical release is available for $59.99 through select retailers and the Marvelous USA Online Store. This edition includes the game, a soundtrack CD, an acrylic diorama/keychain set, four collectible postcards, and a graphic cleaner cloth.
Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana shows the lasting appeal of the Ys series, offering new and returning players a chance to experience one of Falcom’s most celebrated games.
