In a recent interview, the developers of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers revealed some new details about the highly anticipated Soulslike action role-playing game. Set to launch in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, the game promises an immersive experience with a strong focus on level design, combat depth, and narrative.
Players can expect to spend approximately 60 hours on average to complete Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. The game features five main levels, each offering up to 10 hours of gameplay, ensuring a rich and expansive adventure. Inspired by iconic titles such as Ninja Gaiden, Monster Hunter, and Dark Souls, the game aims to deliver a challenging yet rewarding experience for fans of the genre.
The player takes on the role of Wuchang, a female pirate armed with a variety of weapons. Combat mechanics include light attacks, heavy attacks, and special abilities, allowing for diverse and strategic gameplay. Throughout the journey, players will encounter shrines that serve as checkpoints, providing opportunities to regroup and prepare for the challenges ahead.
Recently, rumors surfaced on Twitter/X alleging that the developers were attempting to censor the game. However, the team behind Wuchang: Fallen Feathers quickly addressed these claims, clarifying that no censorship was taking place. In a statement, they explained that a redesign of the main character was misinterpreted. The developers emphasized that the redesign was not a shift from one specific look to another but rather an exploration of various outfits available in the game. They also noted that the images circulating online were low-resolution and did not accurately represent the final product.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is aiming for a release in 2025. It is confirmed for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
