Tuxedo Labs and Coffee Stain have announced that Teardown’s next major expansion, Relics of Barkuna, will launch on 10 June for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The new add-on marks the fourth major DLC release for the destructive sandbox heist game and introduces a standalone campaign focused on exploration, puzzle-solving, and treasure hunting rather than high-speed robberies. Players who own Teardown’s Season Pass or Ultimate Edition will receive the expansion at no additional cost, while it will also be sold separately for £6.69 alongside pricing of $7.99 and €7.99.
Relics of Barkuna places players in the role of explorer James Thorvaldsson as he searches for the legendary Great Gem of Barkuna, hidden deep within the ruins of a lost civilisation. The campaign spans three new locations, including the jungle ruins of Jaguar’s Haven, the cliffs of Eagle’s Perch, and the volcanic caverns of Serpent’s Hollow.
As expected from Teardown, destruction remains central to gameplay, though the expansion also leans heavily into environmental puzzles and exploration. Players will be tasked with uncovering more than 200 hidden relics scattered across the maps, using either careful problem-solving or brute force to break through ancient obstacles and hidden pathways.
The new DLC continues the game’s post-launch support following previous expansions including the Wild West-inspired Time Campers, the vehicle-focused Folkrace, and the sci-fi themed The Greenwash Gambit.
Originally launched as a physics-driven sandbox built around voxel destruction technology, Teardown has continued to expand with additional campaigns and gameplay variations since arriving on consoles and PC. The game remains available now via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
