Fans are furious over the treatment of Batman, voiced by the late Kevin Conroy, in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
For anyone looking to head in blind and experience the story in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League without being spoiled, now is the time to stop reading, as certain story spoilers will be discussed below. DC fans, who have been playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League since servers went live during early access, have discovered the fate of their beloved character, Batman.
The aforementioned fans are furious over the treatment of Batman in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, especially since this is the last time they’ll be hearing the late Kevin Conroy voice the character. After being defeated by the Suicide Squad, which includes Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark, Batman is shown in a battered state. Harley Quinn then pulls out a revolver and shoots the Arkham hero at point blank range, killing him in an instant. Fans are naturally upset, as they feel that their favorite DC superhero and Arkham trilogy protagonist wasn’t given the treatment that he deserves.
Meanwhile, some fans have been theorizing that there was split in the timeline after Arkham Knight, and the Batman who was shot dead didn’t represent the one in the Arkham trilogy. It’s possible that he may somehow return with the arrival of a future post-launch Seasonal storyline.
Regarding the aforementioned Seasons, it was previously revealed by Twitter/X user Miller Ross, who has been offering information regarding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for some time, that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature 4 of them in its first year. The post-launch Seasons are said to bring new episodes and characters, including The Joker, Lawless, and Deathstroke.
Regarding Lawless‘ gameplay, Ross mentioned that her melee weapon is a shield of some kind and her traversal is stolen Coluan tech, so perhaps her shield is as well. According to him, she has some alien, perpetual motion gimmick. He added that her gameplay doesn’t replicate that of Deadshot beyond the fact that they both use guns in combat, which is common across all playable characters.
