Demon’s Souls Remake Dev Bluepoint Games Teases Next Project In 2023 With Cryptic Artwork

Bluepoint Games are teasing their new project that will supposedly launch in 2023. They sneakily inserted this tease in a holiday greeting artwork.

Demon’s Souls Remake was developed by Bluepoint Games. It launched along with the PS5 in 2020 and since then they haven’t shared any updates on their upcoming projects.

Bluepoint Games has been rumored to be working on multiple projects in the past including a Metal Gear Solid Remake. While this is by no means a confirmation, their recent Holiday Greetings artwork. This artwork was a part of a blog post where various third-party, as well as first-party studios from Sony, shared their vision of what they are planning for 2023.

As you can see in the artwork, the image appears to showcase a sword (Wanda from Shadow of the Colossus), a shield (Demon’s Souls Remake), and an Axe (God of War), all of which have been their previous projects. One of the presents is unwrapped and appears to be sitting under the Christmas tree.

This present could be a teaser for their next project. While it is hard to say what it can be even if we go by dimensions of the present alone, there is no doubt in saying that this could mean they are ready to either reveal their new game in 2023 or even launch it next year.

Bluepoint Games originally worked on remastering games. They have worked on the Metal Gear Solid HD series, God of War Collection, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Remaster, and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. They started to work on remakes beginning with Shadow of the Colossus and then Demon’s Souls.

While most fans might be hoping this is another remake of a classic PlayStation franchise like Bloodborne or ICO, this could be an entirely new IP as well. Bluepoint Games has expressed interest in creating their own IP in the past so it won’t be a major surprise to see them finally making one.
