The Callisto Protocol update 1.12 is now available for download and it brings HDR calibration settings to the survival horror game. This feature will let you customize the darkness levels in the game according to your preference. You can access it from the Options menu in the game.
The patch notes for The Callisto Protocol update 1.12 were shared by the game’s developer, Striking Distance Studios, on their Twitter account. This is the only change that they have announced for this update. However, the previous update added a new Hardcore Mode and a New Game Plus mode for the game.

- We’ve added HDR calibration settings so users can adjust darkness levels to their preferences via the Options menu.
Hardcore Mode makes the game more difficult by reducing the amount of ammo, health, and credits that you can find and making the enemies more powerful and faster. It also unlocks a New Game Plus mode with new achievements and trophies. The previous update also fixed an issue that prevented some players from getting the “The Protocol is About Life” achievement after completing the game.
The Callisto Protocol is a game that takes place on Callisto, one of Jupiter’s moons, where a prison colony has been overrun by a deadly alien force. The game is created by Glen Schofield, the maker of Dead Space, and features stunning visuals and sound effects, but the gameplay and story are not very engaging. The game stars Josh Duhamel as Jacob Lee, the ship captain who crash-lands on Callisto, and Karen Fukuhara as Dani Nakamura, a hacker who helps him survive.
The Callisto Protocol is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. It was developed by Striking Distance Studios and published by Krafton. The game launched in December last year and has been available for a while now.
