Pokemon Legends Z-A Pokédex and New Mega Evolutions Leak Online

Emil JohnBy Emil JohnOctober 13, 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

The entirety of Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Pokédex has reportedly leaked online following an early data dump of the game. The leak, which originated from a circulating file shared on social media, has quickly spread across platforms such as Twitter/X and Reddit. According to sources analyzing the leaked material, the content includes not only the full Pokédex but also in-game models of new and unreleased Mega Pokémon that are expected to appear in the upcoming Mega Dimension downloadable content.

As revealed in the shared compilation, the leak showcases hundreds of Pokémon rendered in a unified 3D art style consistent with Game Freak’s latest visual direction. Early analysis indicates representation across all nine existing generations, featuring approximately 350 models. The included designs appear to span the Kanto to Paldea regions, each refined with smoother shading, consistent proportions, and higher-quality textures suitable for both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 hardware.

What has particularly drawn attention, however, is the discovery of new and previously unreleased Mega Evolutions. Among the highlighted additions are Mega Faillinks and Mega Feraligatr, both appearing with detailed models suggesting finalized implementation within the leaked files. Moreover, the leak corroborates the existence of additional Mega Evolutions planned for the Mega Dimension DLC, including Mega Heatran, Mega Darkrai, and Mega Zeraora. These findings align with prior rumors that the Z-A expansion would focus on expanding the Mega Evolution system that originated in Pokemon X and Y, which also took place in the Kalos region.

The structured Pokédex discovered in the leak is organized by region, with roughly 70 entries from Kanto, 40 from Johto, and 60 from Hoenn, followed by a balanced inclusion from Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and beyond. The models maintain a cohesive stylistic tone—soft colors, rounded edges, and minimal shading—suggesting a visual presentation designed to run efficiently across both console generations.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A, developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, is set for release on October 16, 2025. As a sequel to Pokemon X and Y and the second entry in the Legends sub-series, it takes place entirely in Lumiose City within the Kalos region. The game expands on the open-world exploration and real-time battle mechanics of its predecessor, Pokemon Legends: Arceus (2022). An enhanced version for the Nintendo Switch 2, titled Pokemon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, will also launch alongside the Mega Dimension DLC campaign.
