Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have officially announced that Nioh 3, the latest entry in their acclaimed samurai action RPG series, will release worldwide on February 6, 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, with pre-orders now open across both platforms. To mark the occasion, the publisher released a new story trailer directed by filmmaker Shinji Higuchi, giving fans a closer look at the characters, conflicts, and supernatural forces at the heart of the experience.
Nioh 3 follows the tale of Tokugawa Takechiyo, who is destined to become the next Shogun during the Sengoku period. His younger brother, Tokugawa Kunimatsu, consumed by resentment, allies with a dark power to lead an army of yokai against him. The game’s narrative expands across multiple historical eras and locations, including Edo Castle, the Tōtōmi region, and the newly revealed Heian-period Kyoto. Guided by the guardian spirit Kusanagi, Takechiyo must travel through time, face dangerous foes, and overcome the Crucible to fulfill his destiny.
The game also features appearances from historical figures such as Takeda Shingen, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, and Minamoto no Yoritomo, alongside returning characters like Hattori Hanzo and Honda Tadakatsu. The cast includes Tao Tsuchiya as Queen Himiko of Yamatai-koku and Kanata Hongo as Kunimatsu Tokugawa, both of whom are featured in newly released behind-the-scenes videos.
Players will be able to choose between several editions of Nioh 3. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, exclusive armor and weapon sets, two planned DLC expansions, and a Season Pass bonus item. A SteelBook edition will also be available with additional downloadable content. All pre-orders and early purchases will grant limited-time in-game bonuses.
Nioh 3 will launch on February 6, 2026, with Japanese and English voice options, and text localization in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
