The price of the Nintendo Switch 2 is set to increase in Saudi Arabia, as confirmed by the region’s official distributor, Advanced Initiative Company (AIC). The update was posted on AIC Trading’s website, citing shifting global market conditions as the reason for the adjustment.
Previously priced at SAR 1,999 (approximately 533 USD), the standalone console will now retail for SAR 2,149 (about 573 USD). This new pricing takes effect starting July 8, 2025. AIC also confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 bundle featuring Mario Kart World will see a corresponding increase, now set at SAR 2,349.
According to the announcement, the price change is specific to the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and will not impact other models in the Switch family, nor will it affect the pricing of games or accessories. AIC emphasized that the adjustment is a reflection of broader economic conditions and not tied to any specific regional policies or supply chain disruptions in the Kingdom.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is currently distributed in Saudi Arabia through AIC, which functions as an official representative of Nintendo in the region. AIC noted that it remains committed to strengthening Nintendo’s presence in Saudi Arabia and aims to continue enhancing its products and services to meet the expectations of the local gaming community.
While price fluctuations in consumer electronics are not uncommon in response to global market pressures, this adjustment marks one of the first documented increases in Nintendo Switch 2 pricing since its launch. Consumers are encouraged to refer to the official Nintendo Saudi Store for the most current pricing and availability.
The announcement may come as a disappointment to some buyers, especially given the strong demand for the console since its debut. However, AIC’s continued support and official distribution remain key to maintaining reliable access to Nintendo products in the Saudi market.
