During the Mortal Kombat 1 panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego, Warner Bros. Games, and NetherRealm Studios unveiled a new lineup of playable characters for the game’s main roster. The announcement included Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka, all of whom were featured in a new trailer spotlighting the Umgadi, a group of warrior priestesses dedicated to protecting the Outworld royal family.
In addition to the main roster, the panel also revealed six playable characters for the post-launch Kombat Pack DLC. The pack includes returning Mortal Kombat veterans Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda Takahashi, as well as guest fighters Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander.
