KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Omega Force, in collaboration with TYPE-MOON and Aniplex Inc., are thrilled to announce the latest installment in the globally acclaimed Fate series of anime and video games: Fate/Samurai Remnant. This highly stylized action RPG is currently in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC via Steam, and is set to launch in Europe on 29th September 2023.
Fate/Samurai Remnant continues the epic Holy Grail War saga of the Fate franchise, which sees pairs of Masters and heroic spirits, known as Servants, battling across history. The victorious duo is granted an ancient artifact that fulfills wishes. The new game takes players to the fourth year of the Keian Era, during Edo Period Japan, where a battle between seven pairs of Masters and their Servants is about to erupt.
Players will step into the shoes of the game’s hero, Miyamoto Iori, a young man from Asakusa who finds himself entangled in the violence alongside his Servant Saber. They must fight to be the last pair standing to receive the wish-granting “Waxing Moon Vessel.”
In Fate/Samurai Remnant, players control Miyamoto Iori, a Master skilled in the Niten Ichiryu style of swordsmanship. He fights alongside Saber, a Servant with superhuman strength. Players can command their Servant to unleash powerful magical attacks or even take direct control of the Servant to combat enemy forces. The dynamic battle scenes between Servants add a new level of excitement to the series.
The game allows players to explore the town of Edo, teeming with row houses, samurai residences, and brothels. Players can interact with various characters, explore different areas, and take on numerous challenges while following the story of the “Waxing Moon Ritual.”
KOEI TECMO Europe also announced a special TREASURE BOX version of Fate/Samurai Remnant, available exclusively through the KOEI TECMO Europe Online Store. The TREASURE BOX includes an art book, a B2 sized cloth poster, original soundtrack CD, Command Spell stickers, bonus costume DLC, the Official Short Story Translation book, and a collectible box.
