Street Fighter 6 – Drive Rush Strategy Explained

AshBy AshJuly 3, 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

In this guide, we will be talking about the Rushdown strategy in Street Fighter 6 and how players can drive rush in the game.

In Street Fighter games, the term “rush” typically refers to a strategy known as “rush down.” This aggressive playstyle involves continuously pressuring your opponent with fast and relentless attacks, aiming to overwhelm them and limit their options.

How To Use Drive Rush In Street Fighter 6:

In Street Fighter 6, this Drive Rush strategy is going to expose the opponent team and provoke them to make mistakes. This will give a plus point to the players to get the upper hand over their foe.

Drive Rush is a unique dash action. Your character’s body will be engulfed in a flurry of vibrant colours as they move forward when you execute it successfully. After that, this sprint can be cancelled into any standard attack, such as a jab, or into a special manoeuvre, such as Shoryuken, also known as Dragon Punch. There are two ways to execute this strategy.

The First way:

The first way to perform drive rush is by pressing Medium Punch + Medium Kick with Triangle + O on PlayStation or Y + B on Xbox to do a Drive Parry. After that, your player will start running forward, keep holding the buttons so he keeps moving and to stop him, cancel the buttons immediately.

The Second Way:

The second way of performing the drive rush strategy is by pressing the forward button twice while doing any attack.

There is yet another way of doing this skill. For instance, You can press Forward, then Forward and Parry at the same moment, as opposed to Parrying first and pressing Forward twice. switching the input from Forward > Parry + Forward to Forward > Parry > Forward. Since you merge two inputs into one, this technique is actually a lot quicker.

That’s all you need to know about the Drive Rush strategy in Street Fighter 6.
