Diablo IV Beta Early Access is now available, and there are some known issues and updates as the development team works to ensure a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience.
Gamers and fans of the Diablo series can rejoice as the highly anticipated Diablo IV Beta has finally arrived. Early Access began on March 17th at 9am PDT and will end on March 20th at 12pm PDT. The Beta will then be available from March 24th at 9am PDT and end on March 27th at 12pm PDT.
As with any beta release, players should be aware of known issues with the build. The Diablo IV development team has provided a list of known issues and will continue to update the community if any other issues arise throughout the beta weekends.
One known issue players should be aware of is that if they trigger the Lorath introduction cutscene while the world is in daylight, the player’s and Lorath’s shadows will shimmer in-game until the Prologue is complete. However, players can avoid this issue by skipping the cutscene altogether.
Another issue that may impact gameplay is that in-game voice chat may not function correctly for all players. Additionally, performance optimizations are still in progress, and players may encounter some performance issues, particularly on older hardware across different platforms.
The ‘Play’ tab at the top of Character Selection is clickable but currently does not lead to another menu in the beta. Furthermore, users may experience a queue while logging into Diablo IV during Early Access Beta Weekend. Players are advised not to leave the queue as this will restart the queue, and the development team will have more accurate timers in place for Open Beta Weekend.
During the beta, players will be able to select from a wide variety of work-in-progress “Text Language” options beyond English. However, English will be the only available option for “Spoken Language” during the beta, but other languages will be available at launch.
