Hunt Showdown: Tips and Tricks Every Gamer Needs To Know

First: The Genius of Hunt Showdown

Hunt Showdown brings competitive aspects to first-person PvP (Player vs. Player) contests. The game also has PvE (Player vs. Environment) elements in addition to its PvP design, if you don’t have an opponent readily available. It’s like survival horror, shooters, and fighting games rolled into one. In a word: it’s a lot of fun.

That said, the innovation behind this game is such that, if you’re really going to have the most fun, you’ll want to know a few tips and tricks to help you on your way. Following we’ll explore several of them to help you find your footing in this graphically-charged, innovative, match-based survival horror combat game.

Solo Play Differs Substantially From Duo or Trio Play

When you’re playing in solo mode, you’re not playing as a group where teammates have to be chaperoned. When you’re playing in duo or trio mode, you’re part of a team, and you’re playing against another team. If you don’t take the time to carefully execute maneuvers, there’s every likelihood you’ll be smoked and looted by the opposition.

Be Familiar With All Available Weapons

Bolt-action rifles, revolvers, melee weapons, and more characterize available options in Hunt Showdown. You need to know which weapons do the most damage, how long they take to reload, how accurate they are, how much damage they do up-close, how much damage they do at a distance, and which weapons best resonate with your particular playing style.

Melee Weapons, First Aid Kits, Traps, Avoiding Electric Lamps

When you’re playing solo, you need health items for unexpected damage, melee weapons to conserve ammo and take out baddies in close combat, and traps of varying kinds. You can flush an enemy into a trap, or place a trap where enemies are most likely.

Whatever you do, don’t bring the electric lamp along with you in solo mode. It won’t do you any favors. Do explore tactical gadgets, their use, and how you can mitigate that use by combining such gadgets with things like traps.

Don’t Forget Hunt Showdown is Not an RPG

With RPGs, generally, you’re going to want to hold onto items for subsequent levels of the game. That’s a bad strategy with Hunt Showdown. This game is designed for matches. What this means is any health items or other enhancing consumables that you encounter during a match should be used before the match is over.

Positioning Yourself Properly and Solo Play Advantages

When you’re playing as part of a duo or a trio, you’re on a team, and the plight of your team members impacts how you do in the match. You don’t have to worry about anybody when you’re by yourself, and you can just go after your opponents. They still have to take care of their own, but you don’t.

Something else to keep in mind is positioning. You want to find a good spot from which to launch traps or take long-distance shots at your enemies. Ideally, you don’t want to be found, so if you are successfully competing against opponents from a good position, it’s possible you’ll have to move in due time. Find good positions throughout different maps.

You’ll find more background on positioning in this article on Hunt Showdown tips, which covers several of the things we’ve briefly addressed here but goes a lot more in-depth.

Continuous Victory

Now this game is available on Steam, and has a 9/10 rating. That means it’s not only popular, but it will likely stay popular for a long time. If you’re going to master it, you’ve got a global group of other players who are seeking to similarly emerge as the best. Definitely, know optimal techniques, and how to employ them for the best results overall.

Remember you’ve got advantages when you’re playing solo, positioning yourself is very important, the game isn’t an RPG so use your consumables whenever they are available, keep first aid kits on you, be ready with melee weapons, and learn how to use traps effectively, avoid electric lamps, be familiar with all weapons, and remember that solo play is distinct.

Keep all these things in mind, and in short order, you’ll master Hunt Showdown in solo, duo, and trio configurations. These aren’t the only tips, but as a basic starting point, these best practices should help you dominate the game.
