Dragon Ball FighterZ is Getting Rollback Netcode, Native PS5 and XSX Version

Bandai Namco has confirmed Rollback Netcode and native PS5 and Xbox Series X version for Dragon Ball FighterZ. They shared this news during EVO 2022.

The game hasn’t received a native PS5 or Xbox Series X update so this was a major surprise, however, the bigger news is the addition of rollback netcode which will greatly improve the online multiplayer of the game.

During EVO 2022, the producer of Dragon Ball FighterZ, Hiroki-san made the announcement. It was confirmed that since the last major patch, the developers have no plans to update the game any further. They are going to add rollback netcode to the game with an update while a native PS5 and Xbox Series version is also being developed. It will be released as part of the Smart Delivery/Upgrade program on the Xbox Series and PS5 respectively.

Dragon Ball FighterZ has continued to receive support and updates despite releasing all the way back in 2017. The game was developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco. It is available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. This new update that will add rollback netcode is reportedly coming to all major platforms while a native PS5 and Xbox Series version will also launch at a later date.
