Skydance Interactive has announced a major update for its virtual reality survival horror game, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. Available now for PSVR 2 and PC, the update brings new content, features, and improvements to the game.

Originally released in January 2020 for PC VR systems, followed by PSVR in May of the same year, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners received critical acclaim for its immersive gameplay, dynamic combat, and branching narrative. Since its launch, the game has received several free updates, including Aftershocks and Chapter 2: Retribution.

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Update 1.18 Patch Notes

  • Added support for PSVR 2 on PS5.
  • Improved graphics quality and performance stability.
  • Improved audio design for better immersion.
  • Improved user interface for easier navigation.

With today’s update, PSVR 2 and PC players can now enjoy Aftershocks and Chapter 2: Retribution, as well as improved graphics quality, performance stability, audio design, and user interface. In addition, the update adds support for PlayStation VR2 on PS5, providing players with enhanced visuals, faster loading times, and smoother tracking with the PlayStation VR2 headset.

According to Skydance Interactive, the developer of the game, the update is based on feedback from the community since the game’s launch. The developer said, “We’re thrilled to bring these enhancements to our PSVR 2 and PC players today.”

The update is free for all owners of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners on PS4 or PC. However, owners of the standard edition of the game on PS4 through PlayStation Plus monthly games will need to pay $10 to upgrade to the PSVR 2 version. Alternatively, players can buy the Tourist Edition or Deluxe Edition of the game on PS5, which include the upgrade as well as additional content such as a digital soundtrack, art book, and weapon skins.

For those new to The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, the Chapter 1 & 2 Deluxe Edition is available on PS5 or PC, which includes both games as well as all bonus content for $59.99.
