Layers of Fear Update 1.6.1 Adds DLSS3 Support

Bloober Team, the developer and publisher of Layers of Fear, has released Patch 1.6.1, which brings a host of improvements and new features to all gaming platforms. This update demonstrates the developer’s dedication to enhancing the gaming experience in terms of both visuals and sound, as well as making the game more accessible to a wider audience.

Patch 1.6.1 (All Platforms):

New Features:

  • NVIDIA DLSS3 support.
  • Microsoft Store – PC version support.

Additions:

  • Added missing Polish voiceovers.
  • Added a new music video.

Improvements:

  • Various bug fixes.

Apple Silicon Update (Following PC Patch 1.5):

New Content:

  • Director’s Story (Final Prologue).

Additions:

  • Polish voice-overs.

Accessibility Enhancements:

  • One-hand preset for improved accessibility.
  • Option to change game speed for better player control.
  • Reduced background sounds during voice-overs for clearer audio.
  • Ability to adjust head bob strength for player comfort.

Improvements:

  • Various bug fixes.

Released in June 2023 for Windows, macOS, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S, Layers of Fear is a first-person horror game that serves as both a remake and sequel to the 2016 original and its 2019 sequel. It combines stories from the previous games with new content, presenting a rich and complex narrative.
