Gran Turismo 7’s Update 1.43 has added a lot of new content and improvements to the popular racing simulation game, making the player experience even better on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms.
The update includes three new cars that can be purchased at Legend Cars and Used Cars dealerships, including the Audi TTS Coupe ’09, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR GSR ’06, and Renault R4 GTL. This addition expands the game’s already vast vehicle roster. Furthermore, new events have been added to the World Circuits, providing fresh challenges across iconic tracks like WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Tsukuba Circuit, and Suzuka Circuit.
Brand Central has also been updated. Bvlgari has been added to the Museum, and the BVLGARI Aluminum Vision Gran Turismo is now available, which is a unique collaboration that combines luxury and motorsport. The Café feature has been enhanced with Extra Menu No.36, which is focused on Lamborghini, catering to collectors level 43 and above. Along with this, new sets of conversations with car designers and characters have been added, which can be accessed by switching to specified cars in the garage.
GT Auto has received engine swaps for select vehicles, which unlock at Collector Level 50, including the Nissan GT-R Premium Edition ’17 and Toyota GR Corolla MORIZO Edition ’22, among others. This feature allows players to further customize their cars for performance and aesthetics. The Scapes feature has been updated to include the “Pyrenees” as a featured Curation, offering new picturesque backdrops for players to showcase their prized vehicles.
The update also brings numerous improvements and adjustments. The text indicating a car’s aspiration type has been refined for clarity, and prices for Legend Cars have been revised to reflect real-life valuations from Hagerty. Weekly Challenges in World Circuits will now update every Friday, and enhancements have been made to Multiplayer and Localization to fix issues and improve the overall game experience.
Gran Turismo 7, which was developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, continues to be a flagship title in the racing genre since its release in March 2022. The game has received praise for its graphics, gameplay, and realistic racing simulation, despite criticism over its microtransaction and grinding elements.
