Bandai Namco has announced that the next downloadable content for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will arrive on July 17, 2025. Titled DAIMA – Adventure Through the Demon Realm, this expansion marks the beginning of a new story arc based on the upcoming anime Dragon Ball DAIMA, and invites players to explore a previously unseen side of the Dragon Ball universe.
In this latest addition to the action RPG, players will once again take on the role of Goku, now venturing into the mysterious and perilous Demon Realm. Accompanied by new allies Shin, Glorio, and Panzy, Goku embarks on a quest to locate the Demon Realm’s Dragon Balls. These mystical objects are central to the plot, much like their counterparts in the main series, but are deeply tied to the lore and unique setting of this new world.
The expansion draws heavily from the setting introduced in Dragon Ball DAIMA, including elements such as floating islands, medi bugs, and the demonic forces that populate this dimension. While the anime offers a glimpse into this universe, the DLC further expands on it with interactive features. Notably, players can now uncover “Demon Realm Rumors” scattered throughout the game world. These offer insights into the region’s untold history, local wildlife, and ecosystem—details not explored in the television series.
By bringing together narrative storytelling and exploration, DAIMA – Adventure Through the Demon Realm aims to enrich the experience for longtime fans and newcomers alike. The DLC promises new characters, unfamiliar landscapes, and additional lore to further immerse players in the Dragon Ball mythos.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The upcoming DLC will be accessible on all platforms supporting the base game.
