Square Enix created and published Final Fantasy XIV, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). In August 2013, it was launched globally for Windows and PlayStation 3 as a replacement for the game’s disastrous 2010 edition. Final Fantasy XIV takes set five years after the events of the original 2010 release in the fictitious country of Eorzea.
