KOEI TECMO Europe and Team NINJA have announced that their captivating dark action RPG, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, set in the Three Kingdoms era, has successfully exceeded 1 million sales worldwide. This impressive achievement includes both physical and digital sales across a variety of platforms, such as Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Windows and Steam. Moreover, the game’s total player base, including those on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, has now soared past 3.8 million.
Hailing from the creative minds behind the acclaimed Nioh series, which boasts over 7 million units sold globally, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty transports players to the tumultuous Later Han Dynasty. As the Three Kingdoms disintegrate into chaos, players take on the role of an anonymous militia soldier, battling for survival in a realm plagued by demons and legendary historical figures such as Liu Bei, Cao Cao, and Sun Jian. To triumph in this unforgiving world, players must perfect their Chinese martial arts swordsmanship, employ Wizardry spells based on the Five Phases (elements), and call upon Divine Beasts to reveal the sinister plot surrounding a powerful and enigmatic elixir.
In addition, KOEI TECMO has unveiled its roadmap for several complimentary updates and forthcoming downloadable content (DLC) packs. The first of these, the “Battle of Zhongyuan” DLC pack, is slated for a June release, with two more exceptional DLC packs to follow in subsequent months.
