Fans of Unicorn Overlord may need to lower their expectations for additional content or a PC release. In an interview with GamesRadar, Takafumi Noma, the game’s director, confirmed there are currently no plans for DLC or a PC port.
“We are deeply grateful for the many players who have embraced our vision for a new strategy RPG,” Noma said. He acknowledged the fans’ enthusiasm for more content or a sequel but clarified the studio’s current stance. “While there are no plans for further development right now, I wouldn’t say no if it were up to me. It would be great if we could make this happen in the future.”
When asked about a PC port, Noma was just as clear. Despite the recent success of other Atlus and Sega titles, such as Persona 5 and Metaphor: ReFantazio on PC, Unicorn Overlord will not be joining them. “We do not have any plans for a PC version at this time,” he confirmed.
This news might disappoint players who hoped Unicorn Overlord would follow other popular strategy RPGs like Tactics Ogre and Triangle Strategy, which found a home on PC. Although there are no immediate plans for more development, Noma’s openness to future possibilities offers some hope.
Currently, Unicorn Overlord is a console-exclusive game available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch.
