Ubisoft Plus Rumored to Launch on Xbox in Mid-April

JoelBy JoelMarch 27, 2023Updated:March 27, 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

Rumors are circulating that Ubisoft Plus will be launching on Xbox consoles in mid-April, expanding the subscription service to a new audience of gamers. This move follows Ubisoft’s successful launch of the service on other platforms, including Windows, Amazon Luna, defunct Google Stadia, and PlayStation consoles.

For those unfamiliar with Ubisoft Plus, it’s a subscription-based video game service that offers access to download and play games from Ubisoft’s library for a single monthly fee. With a Ubisoft+ subscription, gamers can enjoy unlimited access to over 100 games, including popular titles like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Immortals Fenyx Rising. The service also includes premium editions to games, classic titles, and additional content packs.

Ubisoft announced the new subscription service at E3 2019, under the name Uplay+. It officially launched on Windows in September 2019. In October 2020, Uplay+ was rebranded as Ubisoft+, and the service expanded to cloud gaming platforms Amazon Luna and Google Stadia for US subscribers in November and December 2020, respectively. Ubisoft+ was later made available to PlayStation console owners as part of the revamped PlayStation Plus subscription service in May-June 2022, with Ubisoft+ Classics on the Extra and Premium tiers.

Now, the rumor mill is buzzing with news that Ubisoft+ will be launching on Xbox consoles in mid-April. This time, it is from a source who has a history of leaking pre-release information of various Ubisoft products. This move will allow Xbox owners to join the growing number of gamers who are enjoying Ubisoft’s library of games through the subscription service. This is also not the first time a rumor like this has surfaced.

As of yet, there has been no official announcement from Ubisoft regarding the rumored Xbox launch. However, given the success of Ubisoft+ on other platforms, it seems likely that the company will want to expand the service to as many gamers as possible.

If the rumors are true, Xbox owners will soon be able to enjoy unlimited access to Ubisoft’s library of games through the subscription service Ubisoft+. It remains to be seen whether Ubisoft will confirm the launch date soon, but one thing is certain – the subscription service is quickly becoming a must-have for gamers who love Ubisoft’s titles.
