Jagex and Gamepires have unveiled the Smokin’ Hot update for the multiplayer survival game, SCUM, available today. Coinciding with a 60% off sale on Steam, the update introduces a complete revamp of SCUM’s male character models, new monstrous enemies, a new weapon type, and substantial changes to the game’s skills and attributes.
A Glow-Up for the Men of SCUM
Following last year’s Call of Beauty update, which improved female characters, Smokin’ Hot brings reworked male character models to SCUM. Players can now enjoy plenty of new customization options, giving the male characters a fresh and appealing look.
Monstrous New Enemies
The update introduces two fearsome enemies that can be found in the bunkers: the hulking Brenner, armed with a deadly flamethrower, and the nimble Razor, known for cutting down players with its knife-like limbs.
Enhancements to Intelligence Attribute
Bunkers have been redesigned to allow players to increase their Intelligence attribute for the first time. New puzzle mechanics enable players to gather essential data, which can be traded for an Intelligence boost at the Doctor. Intelligence now plays a crucial role, influencing the experience (XP) gain on all player skills.
Gameplay Improvements and New Weapon
Smokin’ Hot also brings significant improvements to SCUM, including an XP rebalance, making it more rewarding for players to level up their skills. For those focused on firepower, the update adds the Light Machine Gun (LMG), a brand-new class of weapon.
