The first Triple-i Initiative showcase recently wrapped up, leaving gaming fans buzzing with excitement over the array of announcements. Featuring over 30 independent games, the event highlighted upcoming releases, updates, and expansions from respected developers.

One standout was the reveal of “33 Immortals,” a 33-player co-op action-roguelike from Thunder Lotus. They shared a thrilling gameplay trailer and announced Closed Beta dates from May 24th to June 2nd, 2024. Fans were encouraged to sign up for the Beta for exclusive in-game rewards.

“Broken Roads” also made waves with its post-apocalyptic CRPG narrative set in the Australian Outback. Led by industry veteran Colin McComb, the game promises a rich storytelling experience driven by player decisions.

Blobfish Games announced the “Brotato: Abyssal Terrors” DLC and a free update introducing local co-op gameplay for their game. The DLC takes players into the ocean depths for new challenges.

“Cat Quest III” delighted cat enthusiasts with its charming animated opening movie and gameplay teaser from The Gentlebros, promising another exciting adventure in the feline-filled world.

“Cataclismo,” from the creators of “Moonlighter” and “The Mageseeker,” introduced a real-time strategy game where players defend humanity against hordes of horrors, blending strategy and fortress building mechanics.

Fans of Darkest Dungeon received news of a new free game mode, “Kingdoms,” set to debut in 2024. This stand-alone campaign adds strategic depth to the game, challenging players to protect and nurture their kingdom amidst new threats.

The Triple-i Initiative showcased a diverse lineup of games across genres and platforms, highlighting the creativity and innovation within the indie gaming community. It aims to celebrate both established indie classics and emerging IPs, fostering excitement and anticipation for gamers and developers alike. Supported by esteemed independent studios, the initiative seeks to honor the time and passion of players and creators.
