Members of Sony’s reward program, PlayStation Stars, are reporting that they aren’t receiving reward points after making purchases.
PlayStation Stars members are reporting that they haven’t been receiving reward points for making purchases on the PlayStation Store. One member mentioned that they contacted support and were told that it’s an isolated incident, but others are reporting the same issue at their end.
The PlayStation Stars member claimed that the support representative told them it was out of their hands and directed them to a specialist team after 30 minutes of trying to fix the situation. Since then, they have yet to receive reward points for their recent purchases, and the issue remains unresolved. They also stated that the notification for PS Stars reward points randomly stopped showing up on their mobile app one day.
Another member mentioned that they reached out to support and were told that their my points tally is correct, even thought it showed that they had 0 points. They pointed out that they had bought around 10 games during 2024 already, so the lack of any reward points did not make sense.
Similarly, a member stated that they had previously achieved level 3 on PlayStation Stars, but it was completely reset all of a sudden. They added that they should have achieved level 4 based on their next purchases, and that this is likely an error in the application.
The PlayStation Stars program enables members to earn loyalty points, which can be redeemed for various items such as PSN wallet funds and specific PlayStation Store products. PlayStation Plus subscribers, upon joining PlayStation Stars, will instantly earn points for any purchases made through the PlayStation Store. Sony Interactive Entertainment aims to evoke nostalgic gaming memories and generate excitement for the future of PlayStation through this program. The initiative commemorates various gaming eras, explores new paths, and fosters global celebrations to unite players. The company plans to enhance and expand the program in the future.
