Persona 5 Royal DLC Now Available for Free on PS4, But No Upgrade Yet To PS5

JoelBy JoelApril 10, 2023Updated:April 10, 20231 Comment2 Mins Read

The Persona 5 Royal DLC Pack for the PS4 is now available for free, offering access to all the downloadable content that is typically worth £49.99. The pack includes the ‘Persona 5 Royal Kasumi Costume Bundle’, the ‘Persona 5 Royal Battle Bundle’, the ‘Persona 5 Royal Persona Bundle’, and six individual sets of DLC.

Upon the announcement of Persona 5 Royal for the PS5, it was confirmed that there would be no free upgrade available to the PS5 version. This news was disappointing for many fans who had hoped for either a free or paid upgrade option, as they would miss out on the added DLC content.

Now, the DLC is available for free on the PlayStation Store. While it won’t improve the game’s performance or bring native PS5 support, it’s still a great opportunity for those who haven’t yet purchased the DLC to access additional content.

Persona 5 Royal is a role-playing video game that follows the story of a high school student named Joker, who joins the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, a secret vigilante group. Together, they explore the Metaverse, a supernatural realm that allows them to steal malevolent intent from the hearts of adults.

Developed by P-Studio, an internal development studio within Atlus, Persona 5 was first announced in 2013. Persona 5 Royal was released in Japan in October 2019, followed by a worldwide release in March 2020.

Persona 5 Royal is available on multiple platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
