Payday 3 developer Starbreeze Studios has shared plans to reshape the game into the heisting experience that fans had expected.
On the official website for the Payday series, developer Starbreeze Studios has shared an update on its future plans for Payday 3. The game had launched in 2023 with a plethora of issues, and the development team is looking to fix them.
In its new post, the Payday 3 development team shared its plans for the game going forward. The team stated that it is well aware that many of the game’s fans aren’t satisfied with the game the way it is in its current state. Since launch, the studio has been reading valuable player feedback on forums, social media and in video comments in addition to the FeatureUpvote page. The developer mentioned that this helps it massively and is crucial to the continued development of Payday 3.
In order to turn player feedback into action, the development team has put together a “strike team of veteran developers” from the design, community, communication and production teams with the focus on bringing Payday 3 up to where it will meet the expectations of fans. This team is currently creating a plan, deciding what will shape the game into the heisting experience that fans expect from a Payday sequel in both the short and long term.
The developer mentioned that it wants to be careful to not simply react, and deal with any possible improvements one by one with the care, thought and planning that they deserve. In February, Starbreeze Studios will communicate a plan detailing the upcoming improvements and when players can expect to see them in the game.
The post states that players can use the FeatureUpvote page and either upvote someone else’s comment or write their own. The page lets the development team not only see what players think is important, but it also ensures that the latter has insight into how important it is to the community as a whole.
