Devolver Digital and Warsaw-based studio Artificer, best known for Sumerian Six and Showgunners, have revealed their next project: Minos. This upcoming roguelike strategy game casts players as the legendary minotaur, tasked with defending a labyrinth of their own design against waves of daring adventurers.
Players will take control of not only the mythical beast but also the intricate maze itself. Using walls, gates, and corridors, the labyrinth can be shaped into elaborate trap-filled gauntlets or deceptive puzzles meant to confuse intruders. Adventurers venture inside seeking riches and glory, unaware that the labyrinth they enter was built specifically to ensure their downfall. With shifting gates, rotating passages, and deadly traps, each run is designed to be unpredictable.
Every encounter introduces new enemies, tools, and traps to experiment with, ensuring no two runs are ever alike. Beyond the strategic gameplay, Minos will gradually reveal the story of the minotaur and the man behind the myth, offering players a darker twist on the classic Greek legend.
The full game is scheduled to release on PC in 2026, but a playable demo is already live on Steam. The demo provides a first look at the maze-building mechanics and offers players the chance to experiment with traps, artifacts, and different strategies ahead of the full launch.
