Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PC hasn’t been out for even a day and the game was already cracked by release group FLT and pirated online.
While the game had a decent launch on Steam with a concurrent user count of 60K which is expected to increase as the weekend starts, the cracked version could provide some dent in its sales.
The game does offer regional pricing but Sony has opted to launch it for the full price i.e $59.99. This higher price could lead to a higher rate of piracy with the crack being available widely online. Even some of the repackers like FitGirl have shared their copies online which provide lesser size and with the full game installation available to download with a click.
The game is also being criticized for being unoptimized at launch on PC as users are reporting lower performance than expected. It has longer load times than the PS5 version even if the game is being run from an SSD. However, it is also possible that these issues will be resolved with updates after its launch on Steam and Epic Games Store.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was developed by Insomniac Games in conjunction with Marvel and optimized for PC by Nixxes Software. The game presents an experienced Peter Parker tackling major crime and legendary villains in Marvel’s New York. Simultaneously, he is attempting to reconcile his turbulent personal life and work as the destiny of Marvel’s New York rests on his shoulders.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered is now available for PC in a variety of resolutions, including 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 for triple monitor setups using NVIDIA Surround or AMD Eyefinity. Through haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects, use the PlayStation DualSense controller to experience what it’s like to play as Spidey in New York City.
