Hunt: Showdown Marks Its 6th Anniversary with Record-Breaking Success and Exciting Twitch Drops Campaign

Hunt: Showdown is a first-person bounty hunting game that combines PvP and PvE gameplay. The game, developed by Crytek, is celebrating its sixth anniversary after a year of unprecedented success. The game has broken its own concurrent user records and introduced innovative gameplay elements that have captivated millions of players worldwide. To celebrate, a Twitch Drops campaign has been launched to reward the game’s loyal community with exciting in-game items, including highly sought-after Legendary Hunters from previous campaigns.

Over the past year, Hunt: Showdown has expanded its horizons with the introduction of new events, a fearsome Wild Target named Rotjaw, and three novel Wildcard Conditions: Thundershower, Ash Bloom, and Dark Inferno. These additions have enriched the game’s strategic depth and pushed players to adapt their tactics to overcome fresh challenges presented by dynamic environmental conditions.

David Fifield, General Manager of Hunt: Showdown, expressed immense pride in the game’s achievements over the past year. The introduction of the first Wild Target, alongside multiple new Wildcard Conditions, has elevated the gameplay experience. With a new map biome and the highly anticipated Gen 9 upgrade on the horizon, the future of Hunt: Showdown looks brighter than ever, promising continued innovation and excitement for its growing community.

The 6th Anniversary Twitch Drops Event, running from February 23rd to March 1st, 2024, offers players a chance to claim exclusive rewards. Among these are Legendary Hunters like Lulu, Kill Buyer, Umpire’s Bane, and the ultra-rare Bad Hand, alongside in-game items such as the Winfield M1876 Centennial Skin “Swallow’s Tail” and the Charm “Molted Curio.” Players can unlock these rewards by watching participating Hunt: Showdown streamers on Twitch, with details on participation and account linking available on the game’s official Twitch Drops site.

Supply Crates, another reward tier in the Twitch Drops campaign, will provide players with a variety of non-Legendary in-game items and Hunt Dollars, further enhancing their gameplay experience. For those who have collected all previous Twitch Drops Legendary Hunters, there’s an opportunity to unlock a random Blood Bond Legendary Hunter or receive a Hunt Dollar payout should they possess all available Legendary Hunters.

Hunt: Showdown’s unique combination of survival horror and match-based shooting continues to set it apart in the competitive gaming landscape. Set in Louisiana in 1895, the game challenges players to hunt monstrous creatures for bounties, all while navigating the threats posed by other Hunters on the map. With its innovative gameplay, ongoing content updates, and a passionate community, Hunt: Showdown remains a standout title as it enters its seventh year, with no signs of slowing down. Fans and new players alike have much to look forward to, with promising updates and enhancements on the way.
