Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered, offering a deeper look at the gameplay and updated features fans can expect when it launches later this year. The title is set to arrive on May 22, 2025, for both Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, and pre-orders are now officially open for the Switch version.
Set in the universe of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, the remastered version invites players to step into the cockpit of a Mobile Suit as they take on the role of a pilot aligned with one of two factions: Naturals or Coordinators. This faction choice shapes the missions, Mobile Suits, and storyline paths available throughout the game. Naturals are unmodified humans, while Coordinators are genetically enhanced individuals, a distinction that plays a central role in both narrative and gameplay.
Players can tailor their approach in combat by selecting main and secondary weapons, which can be upgraded using points earned through successful mission completions. Combat allows for dynamic shifts between long-range and close-quarters engagements, giving players flexibility in how they tackle each scenario.
Over one hundred Mobile Suits will be unlockable as players progress through missions. In addition to the main story-driven content, the game will feature two extra mission types. Extra Missions will allow players to ignore faction and timeline restrictions, offering the freedom to pair characters and units in unique combinations. VS Missions will challenge players to hone their skills against AI-controlled enemies across various training setups.
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered aims to bring a refreshed version of the original game to modern platforms while staying faithful to the spirit of the Gundam SEED series. With enhanced mechanics and a large selection of Mobile Suits, it promises a comprehensive experience for both returning fans and newcomers alike.
