The first ever footage from the Gravity Rush movie has been teased, and it has been revealed that scripts for both the Horizon and God of War TV series are currently in progress.
During Sony’s press conference at CES 2024, the first ever footage from the Gravity Rush movie was teased, and and update was given regarding the God of War and Horizon TV series. Snippets from the Gravity Rush movie can be seen here.
Regarding the TV series based on Santa Monica Studio’s God of War and Guerrilla Games’ Horizon, it was mentioned during the press conference that scripts are currently in progress for both shows. The God of War series is set to be streamed on Amazon Prime, while the series based on Horizon is scheduled to arrive on Netflix.
With The Last of Us being a huge success on HBO and Twisted Metal also doing well on Peacock, Sony is now preparing to make its presence felt on Netflix and Amazon Prime with two of its other major IPs, Horizon and God of War.
Additionally, it was revealed during the press conference that a remake of Patapon is also in development. While it wasn’t specifically stated that it is a game, a button prompt shown during the footage confirms that it is. Platforms weren’t mentioned, though it’s safe to assume the game is being developed for both PS4 and PS5.
In the video above, it is mentioned that Sony has brought forth a collaboration between animation, marketing, television, and PlayStation. According to the company, Torchlight is a place where all these divisions of Sony can come and experiment.
Meanwhile, the Ghost of Tsushima IPs is making its transition to the big screen. It was recently revealed that the movie’s script is ready to go, and the production team is currently waiting on the ongoing strikes to end before moving forward.
