An alleged remastered version of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Japan Studio’s 2017 action-adventure game, Gravity Rush 2, is currently being tested for Steam Deck, based on the latest rumor.
An alleged playtester who has previously leaked details related to Gravity Rush projects, including information regarding the movie based on the series, has now claimed that a remastered version of Gravity Rush 2 is currently in development for both PS5 and PC, and that it is already being tested for Steam Deck.
The source had initially revealed on Discord that Gravity Rush 2 remastered will be released during the coming summer. They had also mentioned that the PC version won’t be released alongside the PS5 version, and will instead arrive at a later date. Since then, they appeared on the gaming enthusiast forum Icon Era and offered some further details regarding the project.
According to the playtester, the late summer release is an internal planned release window for the Gravity Rush 2 remastered, and it is expected to arrive within this time frame. They added that there’s already a Steam Deck build, and that it may be possible for them to “show it off soon”.
Gravity Rush 2 picks up directly after the events of Gravity Rush, accompanied by a prequel anime titled Gravity Rush: The Animation ~ Overture ~. In the city of Hekseville, reconstruction is underway following the chaos caused by former mayor D’nelica.
Kat, alongside her gravity-shifting companion Raven and police officer Syd, investigates a gravitational anomaly in the floating district of Neu Hiraleon. They find themselves transported to a different world along with the entire district after encountering mysterious androids and getting sucked into a gravitational vortex. The story unfolds as Kat and Syd find themselves in the impoverished Banga Village, where they meet Cecie, another individual transported mysteriously. They collaborate to mine Gravity Ore, journeying into Rift Planes to collect it for sale to the dubious trader Vogo Sun.
