God of War Ragnarok file size has been revealed thanks to the game getting some updated information ahead of its launch this November.
What Is The File Size of God of War Ragnarok
The file size of God of War Ragnarok was reported to be around 90.6 GB on the PS4. This is not the final file size by any means, as there are still 50 days to go before we arrive at the launch of the game. During this time, the developers will be working on fixing any of the issues or bugs that couldn’t make their way into the master copy, or they could be adding new features like a photo mode.
In terms of the file size, this is one of the bigger PlayStation exclusives at launch. Recently, The Last of Us Part 1 came close to this file size but that was on a PS5. God of War Ragnarok file size is likely higher on the PS4 at 90.6 GB than the PS5 thanks to the compression technique that allows developers to save space without reducing the quality of the textures and assets.
If you were wondering about the file size of the PS5 version, it is not possible to know this for now. However, considering the size of the PS4 version, it won’t be a surprise to find that the PS5 version also requires a lot of space.
While God of War Ragnarok can be played on an external hard disk if you are playing on a PS4, the same is not true for the PS5 which means you will either need to upgrade the storage space or delete a game to install it. The PS5 SSD storage is already small enough, so having such a massive game is going to help get it full in no time.
God of War Ragnarok will be out this November for PS4 and PS5. The game is currently in development at Sony Santa Monica Studio.
