Genshin Impact Art Exhibition to Reveal the Making of New Fantasy Nation Fontaine: Premiering in Four Cities and Online

GIStaffBy GIStaffAugust 6, 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

Global hit video game Genshin Impact has unveiled plans for an all-new art exhibition entitled “Endless Adventure in Teyvat: Fontaine Edition.” Scheduled to debut in the cities of New York, Paris, Taipei, and Tokyo from August 19, 2023, the exhibition will later be accessible online for free to a worldwide audience in 15 languages.

Exhibition Highlights

The exhibition is set to celebrate the forthcoming release of Fontaine, an entrancing fictional Nation of Justice within the Genshin Impact universe, where culture, art, and technology flourish. The creators will provide a glimpse into the formation of Fontaine, displaying over 60 concept sketches and more than 30 art illustrations.

Visitors to the exhibition will be taken on a journey through the philosophies and processes that shaped every aspect of Fontaine’s environment, landscapes, culture, architecture, creatures, and characters. The artists’ unique combination of water, gears, clockwork, and Baroque style, as well as inspiration drawn from Europe’s majestic mountains and nature, has given birth to an astonishing underwater realm.

Life-size models and miniatures will bring the in-game content to life, and music enthusiasts will delight in the complete scores for Fontaine’s main theme and battle music.

Fan Art and Derivative Work

In a nod to the game’s passionate community, the exhibition will also feature derivative works and fan art from over 40 distinguished artists and content creators, such as illustrator Solène Debiès, sumi-e artist Yu-Ki Nishimoto, artist Yuzhi Zhou, and contemporary painter Maxence Ma.

Exhibition Details

The exhibition will take place from August 19 to 27, 2023, at these locations:

  • Paris: Galerie Joseph Saint Merri, 5 Rue Saint-Merri, 75004 Paris
  • New York: Moonlight Studios, 330 Hudson Street, New York, NY 10013
  • Taipei: No. 133, Guangfu S Rd, Xinyi District, Taipei City
  • Tokyo: 1-chōme-11-6 Jingūmae, Shibuya City, Tokyo 150-0001

Admission is free, with online pre-registration highly encouraged. Details of the online exhibition in 15 languages will be disclosed at a later date.
