The next installment of the highly anticipated “Final Fantasy VII Remake” trilogy, titled “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth,” has been confirmed by Square Enix to be released in early 2024. This announcement was made as part of the company’s latest financial results briefing.
“Final Fantasy VII Rebirth” follows the success of the 2020 action role-playing game “Final Fantasy VII Remake” and will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5. It was announced during the 25th-anniversary event of “Final Fantasy VII,” where other expansions and adaptations were also unveiled.
The original “Remake” was well-received, earning both commercial success and critical acclaim for its stunning graphics, engaging gameplay, and compelling narrative. The enhanced edition, “Intergrade,” was released in 2021, adding a side story.
No further information was given on the project other than its release window. It has been confirmed that it will only be available on the PS5. Final Fantasy VII Remake had a similar release pattern, launching exclusively on the PS4 before being ported to the PS5 and eventually the PC.
