Earth Must Die Brings Dark British Comedy and Planet-Smashing Antics to Steam

Size Five Games, the BAFTA-winning studio behind cult favorites, has teamed up with publisher No More Robots to announce Earth Must Die, a satirical narrative adventure steeped in irreverent British humor. The game is now available to wishlist on Steam.

Players take on the role of the third son of the Grand Shepherd of the Tyrythian Ascendancy, a rather unlikeable heir who nobody wants to see in power. With your father on his deathbed and your more capable brothers standing in the way, the path to dominion becomes one of scheming, backstabbing, and survival. Your companions, including a floating disembodied breast, add to the absurdity as you try to claim control of a collapsing empire.

The adventure unfolds across a colorful yet satirical dominion where planetary vaporization is treated as sound economic policy. Unfortunately, with resources dwindling and planets running out, the consequences of your misrule become increasingly dire. Along the way, players will wrestle with existential dilemmas while navigating a cast of eccentric characters.

The game boasts a star-studded voice cast, including Joel Fry (Game of Thrones), Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI), Alex Horne (Taskmaster), Martha Howe-Douglas (Horrible Histories), Mike Wozniak (Taskmaster), Don Warrington (Death in Paradise), Matthew Holness (Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace), and Tamsin Greig (Black Books), among many others. Their performances bring the satirical world to life with a blend of sharp wit and over-the-top absurdity.

Earth Must Die does not take itself seriously, and that is precisely the point. With its tongue-in-cheek approach to politics, empire building, and impending galactic collapse, it offers a comedic experience unlike any other. A trailer is available now, with the game currently listed for wishlist on Steam.
