Diablo IV open beta file size for PC has been revealed, and players should be prepared to make room for a hefty download. The beta will weigh in at 82GB, and players will need to pre-load the game before they can jump in.
However, it’s worth noting that the 82GB file size is for the High-Resolution Textures version of the game. Players who don’t want to use the high-resolution textures can download a version of the beta that’s only 45GB. Meanwhile, on consoles, the Xbox version has a file size of around 92 GB.
How To Access Diablo IV Open Beta
To access the Diablo IV open beta, players will need to restart their battle.net client and head to the Games tab. From there, they can click on the Diablo IV icon and select “Diablo IV – Beta” from the drop-down menu to start the pre-load/installation process.
The beta will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, and will be open to everyone from March 24th to March 27th. However, players who pre-order any version of Diablo IV or who participate in certain promotions will get early access to the beta.
During the beta, players will be able to play through the Prologue and the entirety of Act 1, set in the Fractured Peaks. The level cap is set to Level 25, and players will be able to try out three different classes during the Early Access Beta weekend: the Rogue, Barbarian, and Sorcerer. For the Open Beta weekend, all five classes, including the Druid and the Necromancer, will be available for play.
There will also be World Bosses available for combat during both weekends, and players who complete the Prologue will receive a reward that will transfer to the full game. Additionally, there is no NDA, so players are free to stream and share information about their experiences in the beta.
