Following the 10th Anniversary of Dead by Daylight and the successful release of the Five Nights at Freddy’s chapter, new rumors have surfaced outlining what may be Behaviour Interactive’s complete chapter roadmap for the remainder of 2025 and early 2026. These claims come from various known community insiders, including Ruthlessleaks and Gumpy887, who have provided credible information in the past — such as early details about the Springtrap killer and the Tokyo Ghoul crossover.
According to recent leaks, the July 2025 chapter will be The Walking Dead, featuring two iconic survivors: Rick and Michonne Grimes. The announcement was strongly hinted at in the recent anniversary livestream and appears to mark a new partnership with AMC, extending Behaviour’s strategy of tapping into major pop culture franchises. This leak is consistent with insider Gumpy887’s earlier reports, who also accurately revealed Tomb Raider, Castlevania, and Dungeons and Dragons collaborations well in advance.
An original chapter is said to follow in August, featuring a killer inspired by Japanese folklore. Community speculation and in-game map assets suggest this will be the Jorōgumo, a spider-woman myth from Japan. The chapter is expected to include a Japanese original survivor as well. These details align with previous teasers from the developer and have reportedly been confirmed by multiple anonymous sources within Dead by Daylight’s creator community Discords, such as those once affiliated with DBDLeaks and YouTuber Schmuckles.
Looking further ahead, Ruthlessleaks claims that the November chapter will mark the third Resident Evil collaboration, this time drawing from Resident Evil 7 and 8. The featured killer is expected to be Jack Baker, with Ethan Winters and Rosemary Winters as the new survivors. Developers at Behaviour have previously alluded to continuing their relationship with Capcom, which adds further weight to the rumor. This report is also supported by an older quote from Masusder, the former owner of DBDLeaks, who had named Resident Evil, Stranger Things, Predator, and IT as contenders for an upcoming chapter, with the final choice reportedly being “one of these.”
The 2026 roadmap, as seen during the 10th anniversary stream, outlines a March update that will include a new survivor and map but no killer. Although official details are scarce, insiders suggest the map will be set in South Korea and may tie into the Trickster’s backstory. This would represent a narrative expansion within the existing game lore, a design choice previously embraced by Behaviour in other realm-specific content drops.
Notably, some previously rumored licenses now appear to be delayed or canceled. Collaborations with Jurassic Park or Jurassic World, which insiders had supported as early as last year, are now considered unlikely, with Ruthless and others retracting their earlier endorsements. Likewise, characters from Predator, Slenderman, and Candyman are reportedly not in development for the foreseeable future, due to unspecified complications with licensing or design feasibility.
Although none of these updates have been officially confirmed by Behaviour Interactive, the history of accurate leaks — particularly from individuals like Ruthlessleaks and Gumpy — lends a degree of credibility to the claims. Given the game’s ongoing popularity and the studio’s proven interest in mixing original content with well-known franchises, fans may have much to look forward to over the next year.
As with all leaks, it is best to approach the information with cautious optimism until Behaviour makes formal announcements in the months ahead.
