Bandai Namco has announced the highly anticipated release of TEKKEN 8, the next installment in the legendary fighting franchise. Scheduled to launch on January 26, 2024, the game will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Developed by Bandai Namco Studios Inc., TEKKEN 8 aims to be the most visually stunning game in the series, harnessing the power of current hardware. The title introduces a new aggressive combat system that rewards offense-first tactics, promising spectacular and thrilling fights.

New Game Mode – Arcade Quest:

The reveal showcased the all-new Arcade Quest mode, a single-player experience that serves as the ultimate training ground. Players can create and customize avatars, “visit” different arcades, and participate in matches designed to improve play and teach new techniques. Progressing through the story, players will develop and grow stronger, honing their skills against increasingly challenging opponents. This mode reflects the journey of real players entering the world of esports.

Final Roster and Customization:

The final roster of 32 unique characters includes six new reveals: Kuma, Leo, Shaheen, Steve, Dragunov, and Yoshimitsu. Each character will offer deep customization choices, including new options for color changes, accessory size, and positioning, allowing players to personalize their favorite fighters.

Pre-Order Editions:

TEKKEN 8 is now available for pre-order in three editions:

  • Standard Edition: Includes the base game and special Avatar Costumes, such as the Paul Phoenix set and PlayStation 5 exclusive Mokujin and Testujin Avatar skins.
  • Deluxe Edition: Includes Standard Edition content, Playable Character Year 1 Pass, Kinjin Avatar skin, and the Gold Suit Pack for all 32 characters.
  • Ultimate Edition: Contains all Deluxe Edition content, plus Avatar skins for Kazuya, Jin, and Jun, and 32 patterns of classic TEKKEN t-shirt sets.

TEKKEN 8’s announcement has sparked excitement among fans. The game features a final roster of 32 characters, innovative game modes like Arcade Quest, and various pre-order editions. The new approach to combat and extensive customization options enhance the game’s appeal.
