A highly anticipated first-person shooter game that includes action role-playing elements, Atomic Heart, has been leaked online by an individual who claims to have obtained a developer version of the game “from a peculiar source”. The game files were uploaded online without any security measures, rendering them accessible to anyone who wishes to download and play it.
Although it is believed to be an old version of the game, it is reported to be fully functional, but numerous bugs may hinder the experience. Additionally, this leak occurred just days prior to the developer’s release date, which is an unfortunate situation. Although the leak may not significantly affect the game’s sales, spoilers will be circulating on the internet, making it necessary to remain cautious. The game’s download size is said to be 80GB, which is a considerable size.
Atomic Heart takes players on a journey to an alternative history of the USSR, where robots and mutants have turned against humanity. The player will play the role of Major Nechaev, a special agent grappling with memory loss and PTSD following a mysterious accident. The player’s mission is to investigate the events that occurred at Facility 3826, a secret location where a nuclear fusion project was in progress.
The game incorporates shooting and slashing with improvised weapons such as a nail gun, circular saw, or drill. Players can also construct their own weapons by combining various parts. The game includes a diverse range of adversaries, including mechanical spiders, flying drones, biomechanical creatures, and organic monsters.
Atomic Heart also features impressive graphics and visuals with real-time ray tracing effects and dynamic lighting. The game’s intricate and immersive world includes Soviet-era aesthetics and propaganda posters. The game also includes horror and mystery elements as players discover the secrets of Facility 3826 and Major Nechaev’s past.
Mundfish is developing Atomic Heart, and Focus Entertainment is publishing it. The game will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, as well as on Xbox Game Pass. Its release date is February 21, 2023.
