Two Endings in The Dredge Explained

AshBy AshApril 6, 2023No Comments3 Mins Read

In this guide, we will focus on the two endings of the game, Dredge.

There are a total of two distinctive endings in the dredge. The first ending you can get is when you follow the main path of the story, which is a bad ending. While the other one is an interesting good ending that can be achieved through a secret procedure. An ending like this can happen if you discover a unique NPC and complete some side missions to know about the Relics and the collector.

In this article, we will guide you on how to get to these Endings, whether you want a good one or a bad one.

Two Endings In Dredge Explained:

There are two types of endings in Dredge:
• A bad ending
• A good ending

The basic ending which you can get while playing the dredge is by getting your hands on the final Relic, while for the interesting one, the players are required to visit an island that’s and meet an NPC there.

The Bad Ending Explained:

We have enlisted down the points that will eventually lead you to reach the bad ending of the game:

  •  First, you need to collect an amount of 5 Relics
  • Then deliver the acquired five relics to the Collector on the Blackstone Isle
  •  Now inform the Collector to take you on the last journey
  •  You can see the coordinates for the locations on the chart
  •  To find the location easily, you need to find a pillar of red light
  •  When you get there, engage with the question-mark icon to start the epilogue cut scene

After completing the main quest, you will reach your Bad ending of the game. But if you want to try a better ending, you just have to load the game before going to the Collector.

Good Ending Explained:

To reach the special and more fascinating ending, you need to follow the steps below:

  •  Firstly, collect all five relics
  • Then head south of Devil’s Spine to an unidentified island by boat
  •  You can dock at some remains in the channel that runs through the island
  •  Speak with the Old Mayor by stopping here
  •  As you speak to the NPC, he tells you his whole story which you have to listen to in order for him to tell you to talk to the Lighthouse Keeper
  •  Return to Great Marrow and start inquiring about the Crimson Book from the lighthouse keeper
  • Now head back to the Collector at the Blackstone Isle and chose to conceal the Relic
  •  Press the issue to get more information about the book
  • Now choose to step closer and take the book with you. And leave the place without giving the Relic
  •  Now go to the Lighthouse and tell the Keeper that you are ready
  •  Head to the pointed location on the map as you are also guided by the beam of the lighthouse and when you reach the location choose to “throw it back”

This is how you can get a good ending in Dredge apart from that very bad ending.
