Nier Replicant Boar Hunt Side Quest and How To Complete It

GIStaffBy GIStaffApril 26, 2021No Comments2 Mins Read

There is no fast travel in Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, but “Boar Hunt” is a side quest in Nier Replicant that rewards you with wild boar mount. It’s a difficult side quest, but the ability to get about much more quickly makes it worthwhile.

How To Complete Nier Replicant Boar Hunt Side Quest

You will get the Boar Hunt Side quest from an old man. He will be sitting on a crate at the northern end of the shopping district- he will be the first guy on your left when you walk in. Talk to him and he will tell you to go hunting for wild boar in the northern Plains.

You can find the boar near the entrance to the Aerie in the western part of the Northern Plains. It’s a heavy hit, so be ready to dodge. Hide behind one of the nearby boulders and wait for the boar to charge. The boar will daze for a few seconds when it collides with the rock. Dash out, do as much harm as you can, and then return to the boulder and hide behind it. Repeat this mechanism until the boar is dead. After killing the boar you will automatically pick up the item Boar Tusk.

Return to the shopping district and talk with the same old man, he will give you 1,000 gold as a reward for hunting the boar.

How to Call and Ride Boar Mount In Neir Replicant

In Nier Replicant remaster there’s no fast travel, however you can summon a wild boar to ride if you have the Boar Tusk. This mount is also fast. If you are outside of the village or the Aerie you can summon your mount through the following method:

Open up your pause menu and then choose orders>Animal>Call.

Climb aboard your boar pal, and you will be able to travel faster. Although you won’t be able to run, however sprinting will be enough. Your boar can charge through low-level enemies, but if your boar crashes into a wall he will be stunned just like in the original fight so you must keep an eye out for walls.
