In Genshin Impact, expeditions are a hands-off approach to farm material. In this guide, we will tell you how to go on expeditions, which characters are best for expeditions, as well as expedition locations and rewards.
Genshin Impact Expeditions
You must first reach Adventure Rank 14 to send your party members on Expeditions. You will have to talk with Katheryne at the Adventure’s Guild to start the expedition. On the Expedition menu, select the Dispatch Character option and then select the area you would like to send a character to. Choose a character to start the Expedition. The Expedition will be completed after a selected period of time. After the Expedition is completed return back to the Adventurer’s Guild to receive your rewards.
You can find an Adventurer’s Guild in both Mondstadt and Liyue to start an Expedition. You will just have to talk with Katherine to start the Expedition. Characters with unique buffs will reduce the time spent on Expeditions by 25%, just like other features of the game. So it means that a 20-hour expedition could be cut by up to 5 hours. If you bring back a character before the Expedition is completed, the character will not only receive any rewards but the timer will also be reset. So you should call your character back as soon as possible if you want to switch Expedition characters.
