Frostbearing Tree is one of the most important features of the Dragonspine region in Genshin Impact. Statues of seven and Frostbearing works similarly, you will have to offer something to them to level them up. But unlike the Statue of seven, you will get rewards by offering Crismon Agates to the Frostbearing Tree, including weapons, blueprints, a warming bottle to save you from Dragonspine’s fatal chill, and a new glider skin. You can collect a ton of Crismon Agates by exploring around in the Dragonspine region or you can get them by completing Crismon Wish which is a new type of quest.

What Is The Frostbearing Tree?
If you want to unlock the Frostbearing Tree and its rewards, it’s best to start the main story quest called Princeps Cretaceus Chapter, in this quest the first step is called The Rumored Alchemist. To find it easily you can look at Mondstadt on your map and there will be a marker indicating the location. The quest will start in Mondstadt at the Alchemist’s Shop.
In this quest, you will have to explore the Dragonspine region in search of Albedo, Mondstadt’s Chief Alchemist. You will find the first teleport waypoint just up the road from the snow-covered path, there you will see a strange, large object frozen in ice. You will try to attack it but it won’t do any damage to it, It is the Frostbearing Tree.
You will need the Scarlet Quartz to unlock the Frostbearing Tree. Scarlet Quartz is a red glowing crystal that helps you to survive in the cold of Dragonspine.
Whenever you pick a Scarlet Quartz you will temporarily have the power of fire which you can use to attack certain objects frozen in ice to release them. This is how you thaw the Frostbearing Tree.
- There are several Scarlet Quartz deposits that you can find in the nearby area.
- You can pick one at a time. After picking one go to the floating ice crystal in front of the tree and attack it. It will do some damage to the ice crystal.
- Repeat this several times until the ice crystal is destroyed and then you will see a cutscene where the tree is thawed.
Where To Find Crismon Agates:
You can level up the Frostbearing tree by offering it Crismon Agates Same as you offer Geoculi and Amenoculi to the Statues of seven to level it up. But unlike statues of seven, you will get rewards when you offer Crismon Agates to Frostbearing Tree. You will find hundreds of Crismon Agates spread around Dragonspine.
Crismon Agates will appear on your mini-map when they are close ( you will hear a soft tone when you are near one) same as Amenoculi and Geoculi( you will hear a gentle when you are near one). So keep your eyes peeled to collect as many Crismon Agates as you can while exploring or completing quests in Dragonspine.

- Level 4: Diagram: Warming Bottle ( you can use the diagram to craft a warming bottle that will help you to slow the chill that builds up while exploring Dragonspine.
- Level 8: Northlander Polearm Prototype ( You can use it to craft a pretty good four-star polearm.
- Level 10: Memory of the Frostbearing Tree – ( it can be crafted into Frostbear, a four-star Catalyst).
- Level 12: Wings of Concealing Snow – a skin for your glider.

How Crimson Wish Works In Genshin Impact
After you will get up the Frostbearing Tree to level eight, a secondary source of Crismon Agates will be unlocked called Crismon Wish. you will get five weekly quests on each Monday, and you will get Crismon Agates as a reward from each quest. It’s a very useful way to get Crismon Agates because there will be very few Crismon Agates left hidden in Dragonspine.
These quests are similar to other Daily quests you completed. In most of these quests, you will have to go to a specific location to kill some monster or to do some other simple tasks.
