Alan Wake 2: How To Unlock The Sawed-Off Shotgun

AshBy AshOctober 29, 2023No Comments3 Mins Read

In this article, we will take you on how to unlock the Sawed-off Shotgun in Alan Wake 2 and get access to an exciting adventure.

Alan Wake 2  is an outstanding psychological horror/survival film, masterfully crafted from beginning to end with a very bizarre story. Remedy Entertainment developed the game, while Epic Games is the publisher. Its sophisticated exploration aspect and skillful use of light and landscape modification in gameplay make for an exciting experience.

In Alan Wake 2, light is your most potent weapon against the Taken and the Dark Place, although having a strong gun by your side never hurts.  For that reason, there is a gun called the Sawed-off shotgun which can be obtained early in the game. The Sawed-off shotgun is one of the earliest guns in Alan Wake 2.  This gun can be added to your inventory while you are playing as the main protagonist of the game. Compared to Saga Anderson’s primary weapon, the Sawed-off shotgun is way more powerful. The only issue is that it has less ammunition than Saga’s primary weapon.

How to Unlock the Sawed-off Shotgun In Alan Wake 2:

The Sawed-Off Shotgun is a weapon found in Cauldron Lake’s General Store. During your Wake 2 gameplay, you will have the opportunity to acquire it on your second visit after coming back from Bright Falls. As you reach the General Store, you will see a locked door at the back of the General Store which you won’t be able to access, however you can access this section after looking about and discovering a Cultist who attacks you by breaking through the back room.

After getting inside the General Store, you will see that the Sawed-off shotgun is hanging on the back wall of the store. There’s a message stating that in order to unlock the gun, you must have to to make your way to Cash Register and interact with it. You can find a notepad with a list of the codes that were previously set to the padlock next to the register when you get there and interact with it.  Unfortunately, the padlock won’t accept any of the previous codes, so you’ll need to figure out a new code in order to access the Sawed-off shotgun.

Moving on if you look on the right side of the notepad you will see a lottery ticket. The lottery ticket’s digits line up with the final two of each of the earlier codes. Every time, there is a 7 on the front. Using this information, scan the lottery ticket until you find the last code that has been used. And then go to the right once, that will give you the final two digits you need to unlock the Sawed-Off Shotgun Padlock. The combination you want to unlock the Sawed-off shotgun should be 739.

This is how you can Unlock the Sawed-off Shotgun in Alan Wake 2.

The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Microsoft Windows.
