Players can expect a demanding gameplay experience, where both the combat encounters and exploration are said to be quite difficult. The game introduces a core loop that blends future and past exploration, allowing players to manipulate time in order to progress.
The central mechanic involves finding time anomalies in the future, which players must use to travel back to the past. In these past sequences, players will be tasked with collecting “souls,” a key component that seems to play a significant role in the game’s progression. The exploration aspect of Cronos: The New Dawn is further expanded by the presence of 17 main locations that players will need to navigate.
