Haul-A-Quin is one of Deathloop’s unique hunt challenges, requiring players to locate and repair a peculiar vendor. The task involves tracking down two essential components — its head and a working battery — to bring it back to life. This guide will walk you through the steps needed to complete this challenge and claim your reward.
Finding the Head
To retrieve Haul-A-Quin’s head, visit Karl’s Bay during the daytime. Avoid killing Amador directly; instead, focus on defeating Harriet. She may kill Amador herself, either by shooting him or exposing him to poisonous gas. Approach Harriet swiftly and eliminate her, then access the crane controls and press the UP button to ensure Amador’s safety. If Amador is left hanging over the poisonous gas, you will need to restart the mission. Once Harriet is dealt with and Amador is safe, you can secure the head.
Finding the Karl’s Bay Battery
The first option to acquire the battery is to head to the Shoreline, located beside the Fathoms of Lament building. There, take a turret and remove its battery. Alternatively, you can order a battery from the Gideon Delivery Booth.
With both the head and battery in hand, proceed to the Big Smiley building in Karl’s Bay. Note that it remains locked at noon and only becomes accessible in the afternoon. Inside, you will encounter Amador once again. It is up to you whether to spare him or not. Attach the head and insert the battery into Haul-A-Quin, and the vendor will reward you with a purple character trinket.
Completing this mission not only provides valuable loot but also adds a layer of intrigue to Deathloop’s ever-twisting narrative.
