Indie developer CloverPit Studios has announced that its upcoming slot machine roguelike CloverPit will launch on September 26, following a short delay from its original September 3 release date. The team cited scheduling conflicts but confirmed that the game is now set for release on Steam next week.
In the meantime, the developers have refreshed the playable demo with several new features and adjustments. Players who revisit the demo will now find support for Steam achievements, additional localization options, and optimizations for the Steam Deck. The update also introduces four new charm modifiers, a rebalanced charm system, and an overhauled approach to energy charges and the in-game red button.
Other changes include updates to certain phone abilities, quality-of-life improvements, and integrated Twitch support for partners and affiliates, expanding the game’s streaming potential. Narrative elements, referred to by the developers as “PLOT,” have also been updated, though specifics were not provided.
CloverPit first gained attention online for its unusual blend of roguelike mechanics with slot machine gameplay. Its mix of chance-based systems and strategic modifiers has helped build anticipation among indie game enthusiasts. The demo’s updates are positioned as both a testbed for player feedback and a way to compensate for the delayed release.
The full version will be available on PC via Steam starting September 26.
